Personal piece created to improve my skills. Won first place in a contest on planetrenders.net.

I started with a photograph that had some really nice colors and gradient in the sky. I then painted on my comp and started modeling the basic shapes. The buildings have been painted over totally in photoshop afterwards though. My 3d texture skills still show some flaws for creating the thing I have in mind.
This is actually my 2nd final version of this piece. I extended the whole canvas and added the bridge to make the comp more interesting.
